Book Summary : Foundations Of Software Testing ISTQB Certification 3rd Edition

Edition updated for ISTQB Foundation Syllabus 2011 and Glossary 2.1

Salient Features:
Written in an easy-to-read conversational style, the focus of this book is to support the ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board) Foundation Syllabus 2011, which is the basis for the International Foundation Certificate in Software Testing.
The text has been completely updated to reflect the 2011 changes to the ISTQB Foundation Syllabus including the changes to the Syllabus’ Learning Objectives, which are clearly stated for the student.
The book follows a logical structure, divided into seven chapters. The first six chapters of the book each cover one chapter of the syllabus and each has some practice exam questions. Chapter 7 contains general advice about taking the exam and has the full 40-question mock paper - a crucial learning aid to help students pass the real exam.
Key pedagogical features include: a new and significantly expanded glossary, numerous worked examples; student exercises with solutions; extensive references and pointers for further reading.
In addition to being an essential guide to the ISTQB Foundation qualification, this book is a useful reference book for students studying software testing in general. The Foundation Certificate represents a distilling of the essential aspects of software testing at the time of writing thus providing a good general grounding in the subject.
Includes online materials, such as chapter summaries, pointers to online software testing tools, a list of all accredited trainers with accompanying links to their website and a full bibliographic list.
